It was inspiring to say the least to have attended a talk by YB Hannah Yeoh at a special function organised by the young adults' of the Acts Church. The theme for the evening was "I love Malaysia" and that was exactly what Hannah encouraged all her hearers to do! Knowing what we know and hearing what we heard tonight, loving Malaysia does not come without it's fair share of challenges and sacrifice. In fact, at one point in Hannah's message I heard my heart desperately cry out - "Only God can help us now!" O how Malaysia truly needs His intervention! And yet, it's not God's responsibility alone but ours. God works through people - especially His servants. So while we believe that God: 1. Cares 2. Is in control and 3. Has the cure (for corruption and it's destructive effects), we, as Christians and responsible citizens must have: 1. (A sense of) Calling 2. Conviction 3. Courage 4. Commitment and...the faith to believe that love... 5. Conquers (all) - and Covers (a multitude of sins). |
