Discipline, even more than desire, is what truly makes the difference! It's what's needed in many of our lives to gain the victory we seek -That's why we who put our trust in Christ & follow His ways are known as His "disciples". The daily disciplines in our lives reflect Him.
 
If you're not completely satisfied with your life today, been struggling with a particular weakness...try DISCIPLINE! Believe in something & stick to it religiously - no matter what! Discipline "defines" us like it does a serious athlete! It glorifies God & leads us to victory!
 
Don't just live by feelings & emotions. If you don't live by priorities you're going to live by pressure. A discipline life is a purposeful life! You may not feel like doing something today that you know it's right. Do it anyway. Let discipline lead the way. Feelings will follow.
 
Do it for discipline sake! You'll find life - even life in Christ - so much more meaningful & miraculous. Listen to Mary's advice to the servants in the biblical account (John 2) of water turned wine (a symbol of joy & celebration). She said, whatever He tells you to do "Just do it". That's exactly what discipline tells us too. Don't feel like praying...reading the Bible...getting up to exercise...??!!?
 
If you know it's right, just do it - not just once but again & again. Life is not just about dreams & desires, it's about discipline! Try it. It works for all - children & adults - singles & married - pastors & parishioners, rich & poor, weak & strong... It really works!
Are you a true disciple?! Let your daily commitments show your true convictions! God help us all to live a more disciplined life... beginning with (the spirit or condition) of our minds - the way we think - our attitudes. True change comes by the renewing of our minds!
 
Discipline your mind to the word, will & ways of God & everything else - your feelings, flesh & future - will follow in line. If we don't live by discipline, we can't truly be called a disciple (of anything - let alone Jesus).
Be a true disciple - choose discipline!
 
God has been stirring this message - it just takes discipline for victorious living - in my heart for the past 2 weeks! I'll share more soon. Taking only my 3rd morning walk since returning frm U.S, I felt discomfort in my left leg - the first opposition to discipline - but because of my focus on the Lord, I received strength to complete the 7 rounds I committed to.
Discipline may keep you, but it's the Holy Spirit who keeps you disciplined! I thank God that He keeps me walking...because He's the reason I walk in the first place. Discipline without God can either lead to burn-out or discipline being 'god' itself. In everything you do, do it unto the Lord & you will feel His pleasure on you!
